New Service, YaCy

A few days ago, I set up three YaCy instances on ~vern.

YaCy is a distributed search engine built on the principles of peer-to-peer (P2P) networks.

The reason there are three instances is for onion, I2P, and clearnet; I wouldn’t want to have I2P and onion results when I’m on a clearnet browser.

The only YaCy instance that is connected to other peers is the clearnet one, because I couldn’t find any darknet YaCy instances that seed.

They are all crawling, and have at least 3 million pages altogether.

The YaCy search algorithm isn’t that good, however, so don’t expect very great results.
